Any plans on Wed night to get together and try out/tour the Gulf map? Or is everyone just going to go ga ga on their own?

    The day of

I agree with you guys, sounds like a good plan. Hopefully, we can get a great turn out and have a blast watching each others attempts at landing on the carrier. So no butch wax guys, it don't mix well with oxygen under your helmet. Can you say..."Hair on Fire!" (Some of us are actually old enough to know what butch wax is) Old but Interesting read... https://fightersweep.com/6093/light-hair-fire-us-navys-tacdemo-team/
  4. I have a few pictures from the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum, all taken with my iPhone Ha!. The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, also called the Udvar-Hazy Center, is the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum (NASM)'s annex at Washington Dulles International Airport in the Chantilly area of Fairfax County, Virginia, United States. The museum is located near Dulles and is about 20 minutes from my Apartment in VA. I need to go there again soon. There is so much more to see than what is seen in the photos. interesting stuff! Thanks
  6. What? You didn’t put them to work? Nice cruise and pics. I spent some time in Toronto...I worked for Robert Glegg out of Guelph for a few years in the late 90s.

So I cleaned and waxed a jet today.

Love Citations. Flew to Chicago once seated on the thershold to the cockpit. Only four of us on the trip to look at some GE Turbines.

    Wireless TrackIR

Thought I would throw this up here in case anyone might be interested. I use a wireless headset and it did not make sense to have a wire for TIR. So a friend of mine and I converted them. I did this about 7 years ago and still using the same battery which has never died due to the small amount of power needed to drive the LEDs. I will say if you were to use the same battery, be sure to get the one with an on/off switch. Small write up on how we did this (not rocket science). http://sdsquad.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=0ce0759b9d68f7ecde01c834c68ef5fa&topic=2403.0

    Inputting Flight Hours

Thinking of what is shown publicly, we Could report total hours or break it down to appropriate categories. Or safety related against Target zero incidents/losses. A stellar safety record would speak volumes about a squad. Showing individual pilot hours to the public may be a private thing to some. Maybe keep that internal but showcase other stats. Maybe list active pilots with rank, billet or other awards. Maybe leaderboards for public viewing could be for proficiency on the range or ATA victories etc.

stipulations are aircraft needs major work and is not currently flyable for a 3 IIRC. Rework facility used to be at MCAS Cherry Point, NC. MY uncle and father-in-law both worked there.

    Inputting Flight Hours

I flew alone on the server a couple of times for about two hours. I did not enter the time because when I first came on I could not find the logbook. So once I did the dates were past. So never entered. Also, tuesday night I had a landing mishap and tried to correctly enter 3 for landing but when submitted it was a 0.
  15. Well said Mac. I have many times replied to these type posts in the ED Forum but end up deleting it before pressing submit.
